P.S.
I jogged yesterday. It was sunny. I needed it because I had not really
done much in the way of exercise, and after James little wreck, I need
to work out.

Bah Humbug

Friday Dec 22, 2011

Cool overcast day. Have not done much today.
Yesterday Dec 21, Sue and Julie went home. Took Sue to the Airport and
after that, headed north to take Julie home to Phlugerville.

James was off yesterday and the sun was out so I took him for some
driving experience to Randalls on Manchaca. Got there ok, but on parking,
he pulled in to the parking space way to close to a fairly new Ford Texas
edition truck. Sounded like hell when he crunched the truck. After I told him
to turn his wheels and back up, it sounded almost as bad.

Got a piece of paper from glove compartment and had james identify himself
as driver, me as the owner, plus Insurance policy number, home phone, and asked him to sign it.
I put it on the truck's windshield wiper and waited a bit for the owner to come out. When no one appeared to come out, we went on to the Randall's
gas pumps to get some gas. After pumping I drove around the parking lot to the spot where the incident happened, and the Ford truck was just pulling out.
It proceeded forward, but seemed to slow down to a creep. I drove around and
past them and parked. The lady driver must have been reading the note when
she slowed to a stop. I managed to get her attention just before she took off
again, and I went over to speak with her. Before I got to speak, she said
"Thank you for the note", I said, I was just trying to do the right thing.
I told her, James was a licensed California driver, but was a little nervous.
She said she would leave it up to her husband, and wished me a Merry Christmas. I said, Merry Christmas to you and God Bless you. There was
another lady with her, maybe a sister or mother. The lady driver appeared to
be in her early 60's.
No one has called today, so hopefully, the husband will let the matter go.
Although, he may on any day decide to have it polished or otherwise made to
look nice again. It was not bad, but it was kind of obvious. The kind of thing
that happens to a lot of vehicles in parking lots.

Today, Shawn called me on the cell phone. The name showed up as Shannon calling. I don't know what happened, but I was surprised by a man's voice and
when it was not Ryan using Shannon's phone, I did not appreciate the voice of
Shawn asking for help to move because now he had an apartment key.

I was already irritated with a text 15 minutes before from Nancy telling me "God is Good, closed on the house today. Frankly, I am between a rock and a
hard place. I am a christian, this is christmas and I feel a little outraged and
offended by my daughter. On Saturday at the Garcia Christmas get together
she shows up, unknown to me, waltzes in to the kitchen to serve herself some
food and did not so much as say "Hi Mule", as my Mother would have said in her days. No respect nor courtesy. I just sat there stunned, wondering what is this? I kept eating or trying to enjoy the meal. Later, as I served my self some
fruit salad, she came by behind me and said, "hello daddy, adding, "we close on the house this week."
I remained calm and told her, I wish you had said that when you came in.

What I want for Christmas is a composure that will permit me to
"turn the other cheek" no matter what. That can only happen by and with the
Grace of God. I am pissed, but know that if I want to be close to God and
imitate Jesus Christ, I have to controll myself.

I better go for now.

Friday, Dec 16, 2011; 10:42 hrs.

Has been drizzling for a few days. We got over 3 inches of rain. My birthday came and went. Got flowers from Nancy, a nice card from Michael and Fran.

Yesterday I off loaded Shawn and tricia's belongings from the van. I tried to help them, but neither had the courtesy to call me and let me know what was happening. I gave them $450.00 within 3 weeks to help them, plus my time, effort and blessings. I have a clear concience.

Sue came back on wednesday the 14th from Minerva. Falo baked cookies yesterday and the day before. I renewed my Good Sam Auto road service and I have been taking James to work and picking him up off and on, on account of the cold and rain.

Have not yet paid our property taxes here in Austin nor in the Valley.

Yesterday I called Sgt Lyons, but got no answer. Hope he is ok. Called Harry Boyd, he was yawning and I told him he sounded like he needed a nap. Just talked about 5 minutes.
Hope he is doing well also.

Thats about it for now.

Almost my Birthday

12 December 2011.

Monday, 14:09 hours.

Almost 10 days without updating.
Today is my birthday eve; tomorrow at 4:30 pm will be my birthday

anniversary, 73 times over. Weather wise, today is dreary, cool,
bordering on cold and overcast. Dia de muerto, in my opinion.

Tomorrow may be worse with a little rain added.

Still have a van full of household goods. Shawn and Tricia have not been able to
secure a place to live. They have not had the courtesy to call me and keep me informed on what is happening. No good deed goes unpunished! Last time I give my money and time away.

Sue is visiting with Minerva and Julie went home this morning for a couple of days
or until the weekend.

Talked to Chena to find out about Chardo, tell her I got her Christmas package and
other incidentals. Glad to hear Chardo is staying with Richie and seems quite content with the arrangement; something he was very much against a few weeks ago. God must have heard my prayers.

Well, I guess this is it for today.

Dec 3, 2011
15:38 hours, Saturday.

Well, here I am again with so much blabber to add, and half the patience to sit here
and text it.
Its december and I have not added anything in practically the last month.
Here is basically what has transpired and not in actual order:
Sue Hughes is visiting for 3 weeks. Julie is here also to visit with Sue.

I have put up a or The Christmas tree outside the front door. Just so the
neighbors won't think "Bah Humbug" lives here.

Helping Shawn and Tricia move to another apartment. Have a van full of their
personal things waiting for the apartment key on Monday.

The Honda is not starting; will need to have a tow truck pick it up monday and
have it taken to Jim's high tech shop.

Patrick had Ford Explorer problems, next day, someone stole his Apple I-Pod.
Yesterday, he called and said the I-Pod was covered on his Renters Insurance.
He was feeling better, not so stressed as a couple of days ago.

The tree leaves are falling, its drizzling and the rain gutters were clogged. Cleaned
them out.

James is at work, Sue and Julie are out with Ramona. Falo is reading the Catholic
Spirit. There is a bunt Cake in the oven, the brownies are done and a load in the washer.

I should call Chena and find out if she has talked to Chardo lately. He was to have been
released from the Therapy unit of Mission Hospital.

There is probably more to add, but I need to save this before I loose it.
